CHILD MINDING
The aim of the program is to give the opportunity to the families to look for jobs, and develop there own self-worth. The Children live in extremely awful conditions laced with drugs, violence, and abuse, no running water, no sewers, no electricity a maze of unsteady rickety shacks. Children are usually left unattended all day fending for themselves until friends or parents come around. This is when the children are the most vulnerable for abuse.
These centers supply the children with a temporary safe clean environment. They are housed between 8 am to 5 pm daily and under many circumstances ever longer. Most instances due to unstable finances and poor living conditions, many children are malnourished and sick.
They are given care if they are sick and 3 meals per day to improve there nutritional situation, a safe clean area to bath, an area to learn basic literacy skills and be taught about proper hygiene, and a time to play and develop relationships among there peers. But most important, I think is there watched over and protected from any outside abuse.
What would it be like if you;
