Project Description:

The non-formal Education is prevalent in this area, the proliferation of younger children and out of school children and youth.  The center is built to cater the children who supposedly in the nursery or in the kindergarten class as well as for the out of school but unfortunately their parents are not able to send them in the Day care School for economic reason.  They learn basic literacy education such as writing, reading, identifying colors, shapes and guided play activities.

The Center has well conducted activities that will enhance and develop self confidence of the preschool children.  In some instances, the teachers celebrated special activities like: nutrition month, United Nation day, and Christmas Day.  During March, the children are given recognition for the school performance and awarding ceremony.

On the other hand, E learning is created to enhance and improve the mental functioning of these clients which some of them are drop outs and slow learners.  These clients need development and to prepare them or formal education.  After the class, the student will go back to their respective endeavors like; scavenging and collecting scrap iron and empty bottles as their means of livelihood.

Objectives:

1. To continue in providing opportunity for out of school and pre school children to learn and develop the basics of literacy education such as writing, reading, identifying colors, shapes and play activities.
2. To develop self worth and confidence and establish good relationship with other peers.
3. To develop self esteem, sense of belonging and inter personal skills.

Evaluation and Recommendation

The association is in need of financial Assistance to sustain the said program.  Minimizing the cases of unemployment and drug related problems, sending the children to school is a great idea and to be able to live productive lives.  Being useful and having a strong determination to develop and improve as a human being, and above all, realize our moral and spiritual commitment to each other.
