Project Description:
This program is designed for those children who belong to the marginalized sectors of our society. Children are given an individual educational program appropriate to their needs. Presently, the SPED Teacher has 12 to 15 children and youth. They are having 2 hours and a half class everyday from Monday to Friday. These children have to be given special attention in order for them to be prepared and useful someday. In the premises, few children are identified and participate in the Sped class. So the parents take the responsibility to bring their children to the center on a regular basis.
The children are improving and developing their sense of dignity, the feeling that they are accepted in our society. Certainly, these children are able to learn and gradually develop their talents and skills through guided activities during the Sped Class.
On the other hand, parents can also expose their children and be proud enough to show to the rest of society, since in reality, many of these parents have no proper orientation and education about these programs, so they hide their children with no intervention or help.
Objectives:
- To impact basic knowledge to the parents on how to deal with these kinds of Children as well as intervention, that are needed to help this kind of case.
- To develop their sense of belonging and self worth
- To Provide education and develop their talents and skills so that in the future they can be independent
- To increase awareness to the public and strengthen family relationship and harmonious living.
Evaluation and Recommendation:
The Special Education Program is designed to educate the clients and their respective families on how to deal with and what intervention is needed to improve and develop there physical, social and mental functions. In the end these kinds of clients should enhance and develop their talents and skills to be useful and independent. It would be gradual and takes more effort to handle and teach them.
The Program needs financial assistance to continuously serve the clients. They are special people and need special independent attention and care. Hopefully, your support means a lot for these special children.
