Project Description:
This is a scholarship program to help poor but deserving students achieve and fulfill their dreams in pursuing their education. It is sad to say that many children wishing to study in elementary and high school and yet the parents are unable to send their children to school even in the public schools because of financial difficulties. There are more high school graduates who are interested in continuing there college education. Certainly, these students have high regards for themselves and are capable of undergo the pressures and stress of college and opt to succeed than seeing the plight of their own families economic crisis.
On the other hand, it is very important that the elementary and high school children be seen in the schools to prevent them from outside risk. They deserve to have an education and minimize uneducated citizen which is very crucial since it will reflect a negative outlook in life and besides many things could and will happen if they have nothing to do.
The aim of this program is to give opportunity to the elementary and high school students to learn and gain knowledge and develop their potentials. To let the college students finished their different fields of endeavors and in return help support their own families.
To brief you about the family background of these children, they are living in a squatter’s area in the vicinity of the Blessed Sacrament Parish and nearby barangays. They belong to the families of scavengers, laborers from the shipping pier areas water and food vendors which most of their time is along the streets, tricycle drivers and most of them are unemployed. Sometimes, they become the social ills of our society.

Objectives:
- To assist commited and deserving students to develop their potential by sending them to school and knowing the importance and value of education as a stairway to succeed in life.
- College graduates will help support their respective families once they land a stable job.
- To assist parents in educating their children and teach parents to become responsible and even provide parenting capability through counseling, meetings and seminars
Activities:
- To Identify needy and deserving students through home visitation, collateral information and interviews to determine if the applicant is willing and interested to study.
- Quarterly meetings with the parents and the students
- The Students are obliged to show his/her report card after the periodical examination.
- The Social worker will pay the school tuition fees of the college student as well as the school contribution of elementary and high school pupils.
- Coordinate with the teachers for any problem that may arise.
Beneficiaries Part:
- Parents are responsible to follow up, monitor and guide their children
- Parents will enroll their children in the government schools, however, college students are allowed to enroll in the private schools that has affordable tuition fees depending the course that they like to take.
- The Parents and the children will attend quarterly meetings and render commitment service once or twice a week and most especially to attend the catechism every Sunday afternoon.
- The Parents will shoulder the school projects and minimal classroom expenses of the students.
Evaluation and Recommendation:
Due to the economic crisis that these family are experiencing from day to day, sending their children to elementary and secondary are a great problem, although the school expenses is very minimal and yet they can hardly afford to send them to school. Many high school graduates would like to continue their studies, but, being financially incapable the burden become a negative impact to the students.
In view of the foregoing facts and information, the following amount is needed to sustain and provide the educational needs of these children, however; the association would accept any amount that the donor wishes to share for the less fortunate children.
